Biomass Power Plant Preliminary Equipment Cost Estimate Development

The client is regional EPC company who specializes in a power plant technology.
IPS had previously completed a preliminary feasibility study and was contracted during this project to develop a preliminary complete design, size, configuration and cost estimate for a biomass-to-power electrical generation plant.
IPS developed equipment purchase costs for the main equipment by working with qualified equipment manufacturers to obtain purchase cost quotations.
IPS utilized it's in-house library of purchase equipment costs for the more common unit operations associated with the facility.
Once the purchase equipment costs were finalized, IPS summarized the total cost for the client and recommended an installed equipment factor for a plant of this type for their use in developing a preliminary capital cost estimate.
