Heat Exchanger Sizing for Ethylene-Propylene Refrigeration unit

IPS was contracted by the client, a corporate Engineering group, to prepare complete multiple heat exchanger specifications for a Propylene Refrigeration Unit. Specifically, IPS completed the following tasks:

• Using duty rates provided by the client, IPS determined heating and cooling loads for each heat exchanger. From these loads, an exchanger design point was established.
• Commercial licensed software, was used to design all heat exchangers.
• These designs were completed considering the transient nature of the service.

Data sheets and sketches were completed for each exchanger describing performance and construction requirements.
