Oil Transfer Lines Study

The client, a regional engineering company, was asked by the ultimate client, a EPC main contractor, to evaluate the maximum transfer capacity of pipelines.
The aim of the study was to assess the transfer pipeline configuration from DGSs to tank farm. The study included existing pipeline system analysis in order to establish its maximum transfer capacity and the valuating adding the loops to reach the required flow rates

For the analysis of the existing system the following Phase tasks were completed by IPS :

  • Utilizing the existing system;
  • Adding new pumps;
  • Adding new pumps and discharge piping.

The results and recommendations from the tasks listed above were summarized in a written letter report to the client.
